Eligibility criteria
Becoming an LIC agent has very low barriers to entry. If you meet the following basic requirements, you are eligible to apply:
- Indian citizen
- Age 18 years or above
- Class 10 (SSLC / Matric) pass or higher
- Valid Aadhaar card and PAN card
- Willingness to complete the IRDAI licensing exam (fully supported)
No prior insurance experience is required. We welcome homemakers, retired professionals, teachers, and anyone looking for a flexible additional income stream.

Clear the IRDA exam
Pass the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) licensing exam. Most candidates pass in their first attempt with proper preparation.
